This urban/industrial chic building has open spaces for meeting, eating and greeting with neighborhood views and warm breezes.

If you’ve attended a Hot Jam or other event at Pittsburgh Glass Center you know that you can expect an unforgettable and captivating experience. Host a special event at Pittsburgh Glass Center and your guests will:

  • Feel the heat from the furnace as glass artists twist and twirl, block and blow in the Hot Shop creating amazing works of art.
  • Be blinded by the light of the torch in the Flame Shop with artists maneuvering a mandrel of molten glass making beads, marbles and more.
  • Explore colorful, contemporary glass exhibits in the Hodge Gallery.
  • Make your own one-of-a-kind glass art.

The facility is unlike any other. Once the home of a Studebaker showroom, it was carefully redesigned as the only green public access facility for glassmaking. In addition to the unique amenities found in a glass studio, the urban/industrial chic building has open spaces for meeting, eating and greeting and many windows with neighborhood views and warm breezes during the spring, summer and fall months. During the winter, it’s a great place to warm up by the furnace and host a holiday party.
